Scandi Byg beats international competition

In September The Danish construction newspaper Mester&Svend published an article about why Danish companies such as Scandi Byg today are capable of competing with international companies and win large tenders such as KAB’s Almenbolig+ Rammeaftale 1.

Only a few years ago Danish companies such as Scandi Byg, often lost large tenders because they were not able to produce very large volume projects and because of the large salary gap between e.g. Denmark and countries in Eastern Europe.

Managing Director at Scandi Byg Mr. Jesper Hoffmann is quoted in the newspaper saying that modern production facilities with high volume capacity and the average volume in the tenders today being bigger than earlier are some just of the reasons why Scandi Byg as the only company, was able to meet the target price of DKK 7,500 pr. square metre for a 2 floor family house in energy class 1 in the KABs Almenbolig+ Rammeaftale 1.

Jesper Hoffmann is also quoted saying that at Scandi Byg there is room for further cost improvements by streamlining and industrialising the products even more – naturally without compromising the quality and final end result.
