New laboratories for Novo Nordisk in Denmark
2,900 square metres of modern laboratory and office space must be ready for approximately 100 employees by august 2010.
The building will consist of 30 prefabricated modules, in 3 floors, and placed as an extension to an existing building in concrete.
Laboratories is a new business area for us, but co-operating with experienced Danish architects RH Arkitekter and equipment and furniture company Labflex, also from Denmark, has given us the necessary know-how to develop a concept consisting of prefabricated modules which matches the very high demands to the technical installations, exhaustion, cleanness while at the same time being labelled Energy Class 2 according to Danish building regulations.
Furthermore using timber wherever possible also adds to the environmental friendliness!
The modules for the laboratories are, like the modules for offices, schools, and day care centres, produced at our factory and after completion transported to the building site where final assembly is completed.
Having this concept we hope to extend our business scope with Novo Nordisk world wide, but other private companies and governmental organisations such as university research centres in Denmark and abroad could also be interested in this concept because it meets all demands, has a shorter time frame from start to finish and is financially more attractive than traditional building.
