Heavy transportation made easy

When delivering the modules for a project they need to be transported from our factory to the building site.

This is often something the customer pays less attention to than the design of the building and the interior fitting out of their new office, home, day care centre, or school.

When you work with Scandi Byg the transportation is taken of. In co-operation with our network of partners we make sure that the modules are securely transported and if the transportation requires special approvals from local authorities our partners will handle that on behalf of you.

In larger projects like the elementary school at Yell consisting of 54 modules, our partner handed all transport from the factory in Denmark to the building site in Mid Yell. Our partner was involved in the project at a very early stage, because cranes for unloading the modules from the ship at the port in Yell and the special low bed lorries for transporting the modules from the port to the building site were not available locally and had to be brought in.

Furthermore our partner also handled all authorisations with local authorities on Yell to block the roads while transporting the modules from the port to the building site because of the narrow roads etc.

Exactly how the transportation of the modules from Løgstør in Denmark to the building site at Yell was handled, the Danish Transport business newspaper wrote an in-depth article about.

Unfortunately the article is in Danish, but contact us and we will answer any questions you may have on how your next project is transported to the building site - regardless whether it is in Denmark or abroad.
